Kanta is a display, Devanagari typeface for use at larger sizes, where its unique details can shine. The typeface embodies elements of traditional Devanagari script, with deliberate modern refinements to enhance legibility and evoke nostalgia.

However, Kanta is more than a typeface; it is a love letter to nostalgia and family. Inspired by the handwriting and personality of my late grandmother, Kanta evokes the warmth of handwritten letters and the cinematic drama of vintage, retro Bollywood. The letterforms feature strong, dramatic vertical strokes, rounded counters, and elegant flourishes, reflecting both the handwriting of its namesake and the boldness of classic Hindi movie posters.
